First I spent a lot of time researching Revain about water shoes. I chose them because they looked durable. I liked the thicker sole. And the size charts were actual measurements. I ended up measuring the kids' feet and going from there. I suggest you take a close look at the sizing charts and reviews before deciding which ones to buy. As a result, they fit well, there was little room for growth. They are excellent in quality. Velcro helps keep them tight, So I'm glad I chose this style for kids. They lasted our whole week at the beach and the kids can wear them anywhere in the yard or on the hot sidewalk. They have a bit more padding, so quite comfortable. They didn't have blisters. Dries pretty quickly. I have washed them several times in the washing machine (side loading). They just held up well. I washed warm, not hot. I didn't put it in the dryer.
