I used to have a small humidifier but I really didn't want to fill it up every night because I was too lazy. Now I bought this large capacity one and couldn't get enough of it. I only use it on the lowest setting at night so it lasts several nights without having to refill. The opening of the tank is big enough that I can use my hands to clean or dry it. I can easily take a tissue and wipe all areas (except the spout) with my hand. The hardest part to clean is under the mist nozzle (the pointed tip where the mist comes out), but you can remove this part and then use a bottle brush or toothbrush to clean the mist tunnel. It only takes me 5 minutes to clean. without the hassle, which is an enormous requirement! The sound is very quiet, but not silent. I put it on my bedside table and at night I hear a faint misty noise (even on the lowest setting) as well as occasional bubbles. Don't get me wrong, it's super quiet and lulls me to sleep with its white noise and water feature. Night light also has a calming effect and is optional. Sometimes it's nice to see a warm light at night. Incredible value.
