I thought they were bigger and thicker than the ones used automatically. They are a bit smaller and thinner but I found great use for them. I use them to clean stains like the stove, sink, toilet, and mirror. We keep a stack in the laundry room and we just throw them in the washing machine when the towels are washed. I hang them to dry as they collect lint in the dryer. This solved a problem I didn't even know existed. I'm happy with them and they're inexpensive enough to be expendable if they "bring one for the team".
