I LOVE this cat door, it fits snugly over my sliding screen door so my cat doesn't keep wanting in and out every few minutes. (I had to pay someone to install it as I couldn't secure it tight enough to insert the short screws.) It's best to leave it open at first until the cat gets used to using it and to smell it. Today (after 3 weeks awake) my cat came by itself for the first time! I complimented her and gave her Greenies. The only thing that was a little frustrating is that you can't pull it towards you to help the cat come in from the outside, so I added a small command crystal hook/button. That way, if she hesitates to squeeze it, I can open it up a bit so she can pop out.
