The case protects the tablet reliably. The only downside is the silicone case. It doesn't stay on the sides of the case. Also, there is no hole in the case for the "off" button on the upper right side of the tablet. The silicone case needs to be peeled off to access the off button. Otherwise, the shell offers good protection, and the protrusions over the ports are useful. I bought it for my grandson's tablet as the silicone case offers good protection against damage. The problem with the off button is a minor inconvenience.
