Review on KEMIMOTO Handlebar Rearview Motorcycle Kawasaki by Billy Ivy

Mirror back is plastic and weak point

I have two versions of this mirror. I have a small bluish version on a Yamaha FZ07. For these, the whole block is metal and pristine. This review is for the larger version that I bought for my Kawasaki Vulcan S. I got the larger version as the bike and handlebars are wider. I figured the larger size would give a better view. The product arrived and looked good except for the plastic mirror housing. I was expecting metal and a smaller version. I installed the kit and expected it to work just as well as the smaller version. The installation went as expected, the mirrors are intact. I even reinstalled the factory weighted bar ends after the transom for extra strength. After three trips, the mirrors began to vibrate so much that the image became blurry. Then it got worse and they started making a buzzing sound from the vibration. I could put my finger on the mirror and the noise and blur was gone. You could say that the plastic didn't absorb the vibrations from the engine and transferred them all to the mirror glass. The right side cracked after a few rides. I was actually glad it happened because I was tired of the noise and blur. This is probably due to the mirror's cheap plastic backing and poor fit with the mirror. I cannot recommend a larger size with a plastic housing. It's such a nuisance from the start. Only buy the smaller all-metal version.
