Review on Wild Planet Gear Night Scope Novelty & Gag Toys by Joshua Ford

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A fun toy for a spy party, but stock up on batteries!

We bought this toy to give my 6 year old son a spy training sleepover and it's just perfect. These aren't super high quality night vision goggles (at this price point of course!) but they do deliver what they promise for the little kid who wants to play spy. According to my son, this is a large format binocular laser extravaganza. When the right button is pressed, the light pops up and automatically turns on as a clear spotlight, or it can be left in its original position and turned on with a less intense reddish light by pressing the left button. The binoculars zoom in a bit and there's even a focus knob. But most importantly, it looks cool and spy-like. He loved it and I'm sure his friends will too. However, it requires two AAA batteries to operate, which was a surprise when we took it out of the box and couldn't figure out why. did not shine. So have batteries ready when it arrives if your little spy wants to play with it right away.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
