Assembly: Difficult to align the screws with the crib frame no matter which last 2 screws you choose. It's much easier to help someone. screw note. At first I thought they weren't there because they weren't in the attached plastic bag they were supposed to be in. Eventually I realized they were bolted to the ends of the bars. Design: The metal-coated frame feels strong and durable. It's screwed down so it doesn't "wiggle" like some other brands do. The mesh itself is strong, but I'm still not sure how long it will last based on how it's attached. The mesh is wrapped around the frame and glued to the top of the mesh. I've added 2 photos to see what I mean. In one section, the fabric is cut a little shorter and glued at the very end of the cut web. If our bed ever breaks, I assume it will be at this location. Size: I bought a large size and our dogs fit great. We have 5 large dogs and they all fit (one at a time). Our 2 holes popped up once assembled (as shown in the picture). Zuri the big dog weighs 95 pounds and Dakota the white weighs 55 pounds. He kept them well. I have to say that Zuri is fat and stocky, not tall. Our German Shepherd Nikita weighs 100 pounds and when she sits down no other dog can fit her but the bed is big enough for her to be comfortable and there is still some space left. Compared to our last crib purchase: This bed is so much better than our last Revain crib purchase which was a large K&H crib brown and black that was actually more expensive than this one. K&H lasted 2 weeks. First, the PVC/metal legs (don't remember the frame material) that slide onto other parts of the frame (no screws) made the bed wobbly and uneven. When there were no dogs on it, the leg came off the ground due to the frame and deformed. Zuri didn't want to approach him. The brown cloth attached to the black net was torn. We have had about 5 cots in the last 8 months and this is by far the best. Usage: Ours is outside under a covered porch and is used maybe 2 hours a day. Not sure how it will hold up in direct sunlight as the glue might melt. We love cribs because they keep ants and bugs away, and dogs stay cleaner because they're off the floor. It's been 2 weeks and it looks like the first day. Bath time: Our German Shepherd has hip dysplasia, so she lies down when we bathe her. making bath time really hard. I just showered her in our dog bath and actually put this bed in the shower. She climbed onto the bed and lay down while I bathed her. The mesh fabric is great at wicking water, my back is much more comfortable and her hips are also more comfortable from not having to lie on a hard tile floor with the weight of water in her long coat. Overall: Would highly recommend this bed for heavier dogs. Hope the glue holds. I only wish it came in solid colors. I plan to buy another one.
