This is the perfect gaming headset for the X Series. Unfortunately, since Microsoft got rid of the optical port, gamers have been limited to the 3.5mm jack. While I wouldn't pick them as the perfect PC headset, they're probably the best you can get for an Xbox without messing around with HDMI splitters and the like (if you don't have an optical port on your TV, I use a monitor ). Much better than the typical Astros Turtle Beach gaming headset. They are super light and comfortable. The sound, while great for positioning, isn't as immersive as some of the others due in part to the lightness and openness. If you play FPS this is perfect, but if you're more into single player or story mode then look into a closed high end like Audeze Penrose or something for a more immersive experience.
