I respect Hi-Fi specialists, but, in my opinion, a sophisticated person will look for something more serious from a higher price category, so I will write a comment in the words of an average person. I purchased these speakers to replace active shelf speakers, in fact computer speakers, that worked in tandem with no subwoofer. To replace, finally, I purchased a 573 Yamaha receiver paired with these speakers. Of course, I was impressed by the contrast, the sound in the cinema became (more correctly written - appeared) powerful, assertive, but not harsh and not frightening. Bass appeared. At the same time, a recreation center was installed in a small 18-meter room, it was not installed correctly, with an offset to the corner, with an insufficiently wide stereo base (about 170 cm). But still I'm impressed! Cinema has become cinema, details have appeared. Electronic music plays confidently at a sufficient volume, although I do not abuse it. At some point, I dreamed about low bass and special effects tearing my chest, I bought a YST-SW315 subwoofer, but I realized that there was no particular need for it. He simply could not open up in the space of my room and at the power at which we watch movies and listen to music. Of course, he pleasantly tints the bass at high volume when listening to dubstep, but those effects are rare in the cinema, which, I repeat - in my conditions, wins back. Acoustics do a great job with movies on their own, so I advise you not to treat the sub as a necessary addition to the 555s in a modest living room. But the purchase of the central channel NS-C444, from the same series, fully justified itself! A completely new cinematic experience. Pay attention to the center before you buy a sub! About dust - it's true, even natural cleanliness does not help. The dust magnetizes strongly, but to consider this a disadvantage, in my opinion, is not correct, you just need to be prepared for this. In short, if you are not a sophisticated listener, if the budget and common sense, based on little experience, does not allow you to purchase something from the expensive segment, if the installation conditions are far from ideal and will gobble up all the charm of the incomparable sound of expensive speakers - take it and not about don't be sorry! Enjoy good movies and music! I put four only out of respect for the criticism of objective specialists, for me personally - 5.
