Great Monitor + 75Hz + HOW TO FIX LOW AUDIO VOLUME

Crisp and crisp, this 24-megapixel monitor from HP is perfect for a desktop (not too big and not too small). It accepts HDMI and DisplayPort inputs (and even VGA for old-school PCs). While Windows defaults to a 60Hz refresh rate, you can go into the Windows display settings and select a 75Hz refresh rate for this monitor. The 75Hz refresh rate really helps smooth out motion. You should also go into the monitor's Picture menu setting and set the Response Time to Level 3, which gives the best VSYNC performance. One of the best features that sets this monitor above its price range is the 90 degree swivel screen, height adjustment, and swivel base. The stand is stable, nothing is dangling. The speakers are fine once you discover the menu controls, which I explain below: HOW TO FIX LOW AUDIO VOLUME: The built-in speakers are better than some reviewers are letting on. What I don't think most people will find is that the monitor's menu has its own volume slider, which defaults to 50% volume. By simply connecting this monitor to your PC, you'll automatically get the audio through your HP speakers via HDMI or DisplayPort (you only need to use a separate audio cable if you're using the VGA input). But no matter how hard you crank up the volume on your PC, you only get 50% volume from your monitor's speakers, which is why people complain about the low volume. To fix this, all you have to do is go to the Controls tab in the monitor's menu, select Audio, then increase the volume from 50 (default) to 100, and you'll find that the monitor's speakers are muted. loud enough. After that, all you have to do is use your PC's volume control as usual. This is a high quality monitor with features that are outside of its price range. Fantastic value, HP! ADDITIONAL NOTE: HP sells a monitor identical to the HP 24mh under the P24h model. The only difference is that the P24h has a black plastic stripe with a logo on the bottom instead of the silver stripe found on the 24mh. Everything else is identical (specs, speakers, height-adjustable stand, etc.), plus the P24h comes with an HDMI cable and a DisplayPort cable.
