Review on ๐ŸŽง LG Tone PRO Wireless Stereo Headset - MATTE BLUE - Retail Edition with Enhanced SEO by Jamie Dawson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Annoyingly thin wires, less reliable than older models.

I used to have the HBS 730 and HBS 750 headphones and based all my positive/negative reviews on comparing the three models. Pros: - I really like their smoothness. design, tucked into a neckerchief with nubs. Neither of these headsets are great fashion accessories, but they at least manage to keep the extra weight off. I've seen complaints of them falling out due to the design, but in 10 months of use this was a rare issue unless I was wearing extra layers of clothing for the headset to get stuck in between. The design is also a plus. If you tend to only wear one earbud at a time and don't want to bother anyone in a quieter place with noise from an unused earbud, it does a much better job of attenuating any high-frequency noise from whatever you're listening to. to.Cons: - The extra thin wires on these (compared to the 730 and 750 at least) have become a real annoyance over time. They tended to hit my face/ears more when I was actively working. I've lost count countless times when I've had to fiddle with an earbud because the wire twisted on its own. I also won't go too deep into how well the light touch of the wires mimics the feel of an insect landing/crawling on your head from the side, but let's just say it's not the best experience if you're reworking one of Spider infested area. - After about 9 months of use, the most common problem with these headsets appeared: one of the headphones stopped working. I feel like I'm almost getting my money's worth considering I wear them about 50 hours a week, but they still fail about half the time the 730 or 750 starts to fail. I do my best to take care of the wires and protect them from snagging and pulling, and if anything I've babysat them more than the previous versions I've had. Overall, I think it's a real shame that LG just seems to be throwing out new designs with each iteration instead of improving on what works. I'd still probably recommend them to anyone who doesn't find the cables annoying, as long as you like the design itself.
