Review on 🐠 Hikari Betta Revive - Pack of 2, .08oz each by Jana Bramlage

Second round Betta Revive

My cock girl has dropsy (scales slightly protruding, swollen, floating vertically). I placed them in a hospital tank (half a gallon) and added 1/4 teaspoon Epsom salts and 4 drops of Betta Revive (it was the same concept as NippyFish's post). Every 1-2 days I changed her water completely and added the same medicines. I did this from Sunday March 7th to Thursday March 18th. I probably fasted from Thursday March 4th to Thursday March 11th because she was so bloated at first. I ended up switching her food to Aqueon Betta Pellets as well. She felt great, the scales were returning to her body, she was eating (still). I swam normally the whole time (such a fighter). I ended up putting her back in her 2.5 gallons with kanaplex because it's used for dropsy and she had fungus/rot on her tail. I also retired from Epsom and went back to aquarium salt. I also switched her diet to Hikari pellets. I did one treatment (although I changed some water after 48 hours because I was a bit concerned about the quality of the water) and 48 hours after the last dose it started swelling again and seems to be progressing much faster than after the first dose. first time. Not sure if it's the Hikari granules, aquarium salt, both or something else. So back to the hospital tank with tail resuscitation and Epsom salts, although I'll be changing her water daily this time. I'll let you know if it gets better/worse.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Hard to tell
