I've been wearing an old climbing harness with cut-off legs as a belt for many years. It was really starting to look rough and I decided to get a thinner replacement. I have a Black Diamond pendant and knew this buckle system would stay in place while still looking stylish. It was just made that way. I appreciate the quality of the webbing as the cheaper webbings really stand out. I'm an avid cyclist and would particularly recommend it to those mountain bikers who like loose shorts and prefer a belt but don't want it to cinch the waist. My only criticism is that I wasn't expecting it to be that blue so be warned, but that's definitely not a reason not to order.
