Beltaway's customer service team impressed me with their proactive response to an inventory issue. I ordered the Blue Denim "Square Buckle Plus" and when they realized that it was out of stock, they immediately sent me the "Original Blue Denim Buckle" along with 2 additional square buckle belts in different colors for free. cost me! The gift was accompanied by a very courteous handwritten note signed 'Mark'. Both the gift and note were unexpected gestures of kindness and greatly appreciated. I've been wearing my belts for several months now, so I can accurately assess their performance. The belts certainly hold everything they claim to. They lie flat and are invisible under knitwear. They're fantastic at preventing the horrible overexposure caused by holes in the back of pants. Of course, this is not the most fashionable belt, but it looks great with jeans and casual pants. For those pointing out that it's "just" an elastic with a plastic buckle, that's correct, but I'm a seamstress so I price the parts to make a similar belt and you're not skimping cents by making your own. First, flat buckles are hard to find, especially any color other than black (and most of them look like they match dog collars because they are), and rubber straps of comparable thickness and quality are expensive. So unless you plan to buy buckles in batches of 100 and rubber bands in huge rolls, you can't make a similar belt cheaper than Revain. won't roll up uncomfortably when worn, won't stretch during the day, and lays flat under thin knits. They are inexpensive and after 3-4 months of use they seem to last a long time. Outstanding performance combined with outstanding customer service make this a very good buy.
