I like the radio. It is pocket sized and has a very good sound for its size. Has stereo sound. However, there are also disadvantages. It uses an old Nokia phone battery that has been discontinued. I'm not a fan of the cell phone lithium battery to power the radio. None of my older phones with this type of battery had a long battery life after continuous use and didn't use as much power as a radio. The radio requires a 500mA charger and uses the mini jack in the phone. Most cell phones today use a micro plug and charge at a faster rate of 1 to 2.1 amps. Kaito warns that a charger with a current greater than 500mA can cause the battery to malfunction. When the battery is low or dying, Kaito will warn you that you cannot plug it into a charger to power the radio for listening or recording as this will create static noise. If you're not home and the radio dies when you don't have an extra battery, you're out of luck. I would have preferred removable AA batteries which last longer, are easily accessible and can be swapped out on the go. The battery was half charged and empty while recording from the radio. file lost. Some radios of this size can also use AA or alkaline batteries. However, this would add a bit more weight to the radio. The small display doesn't give much information about the recorded file. There isn't even a date after the recording. You cannot change the volume once you start recording the radio. When the display turns off to save energy, it goes black after a few seconds and you can't even see the radio frequency. Insert a micro SD card, if you are not careful it may fall into the case. The card is also located on the bottom of the radio and may fall out. The radio picks up AM static easily and needs to be rotated carefully for a clear signal. Keys sometimes need to be pressed multiple times to get a result. The instructions are ok, but the font is very small. I enlarged the instructions by 180% and printed them out to read. If they gave you a case, the original instructions could be kept in it for reference. I bought a case for the radio at the store for 99 cents. The functions are not intuitive and can be confusing if not used frequently. You must follow the instructions. The radio can be charged via a computer. However, plugging it into my Windows 10 PC resulted in a recurring error message and a constant restart of the computer. Use a 500mA charger. Despite the shortcomings, there is currently nothing else. Now this will do the trick.
