Review on 🐾 Premium Kitty City Woven Sisal Collection: Ultimate Scratching Post with Perch Cushion by Ashley Branch

UPDATE two years later: This is still my cat's favorite furniture/cat toy and the best scratching post we have ever had. It has recently started to show a lot of wear (the woven sisal cover appeared to have split at the top) and when I contacted the company for a replacement cover or repair I received an immediate positive response. We've had no issues with the base slipping or scratching on our hardwood floors, and it looks good enough as part of our living room decor. The sisal has held up AMAZINGLY well after two years of heavy use. One of the cats sits on top all the time and everyone likes to climb on it, like a tree. Both stretch and scratch him regularly throughout the day. We had a shorter scratching post (still considered tall) with sisal rope which they destroyed and both cats are upright scratching posts so we decided to replace it with this taller one. The woven sisal held up very well (we had it for about 5 weeks) and both cats got used to it very quickly. I was worried the texture would be different for her, but it didn't seem to matter. It's big enough for both kitties to have a good stretch and even climb on it like a tree! They largely ignore the hanging toy, but one likes to climb on top and taunt the other below. It's much larger and thicker than traditional scratch pegs but very well made with a strong base and solid construction. I love that the top platform is big enough for my cat to sit on and has a comfortable hard rubber surface with a removable cover. I will probably need to wash it from time to time as it gets used a lot so a removable cover is important! Only one of my cats jumps off the top and it took several weeks and some convincing before he realized he could do it. Now he sits there all the time, like the king of Sheba. We couldn't be happier with this product. I'll update in a year to let you know how well it's holding up, but I think it's going to be quite a while.
