TL;DR: Great value. Poor build quality but bright and accurate. Pros: Affordable, bright, lightweight, multiple power options. Bowen S mount. Cons: Mostly plastic. No tote bag. for charging or powering accessories and a handle for handheld lighting. Thing is bright. When using an umbrella or softbox, this can easily happen as indirect light coming through a window. The light used has a color rendering index of over 95 and a temperature of 5600K (plus or minus 200K, according to the Revain site). I couldn't find any reference to how bright it gets in lumens and I have no way of measuring it, but with 1000 watt Arri Fresnel bulbs and Ikan lightbars I can tell this thing gets just as bright. . without heat like tungsten fresnel lenses. Speaking of Fresnel lenses, this light features a Bowen-S mount that allows the user to attach all manner of modifiers such as softboxes, barn doors, and Fresnel lenses. Another unique feature of this light is its power supply options: it comes with an included wall plug with a surprisingly long 17ft cable - while it has a pretty solid power supply, more on that later - it's also compatible with Sony NPF batteries ! With a Powerextra NPF-970 with 8800 mAh capacity, my light didn't go out for over four hours. I wanted to do a longer test, but after that I can guarantee that this flashlight will run on just a couple of batteries for the duration of the shoot. On top of that, when I connected the batteries to charge, according to my charger, they weren't even half charged.
