No adjustment pads?

It's really annoying when you buy something that requires you to buy extra parts and put in effort to make it work. There is no standard for bicycle handlebars, they come in different diameters and shapes. My current bike, bought in 2020, has beveled handlebars. Possibly already in use. This does not include adapters or rubber pads/strips to make up the difference for smaller diameters. I love the "quick release" function that attaches to the drift cam (I say this in quotes because it's very tight and difficult to take off, which is good, meaning it has to stay on). The bracket is metal, which is another plus, it shouldn't crack or break over time like plastic. But now I have to dig or make room to fit on my handlebars.
