Review on πŸ•οΈ Texsport La Paz Single One Person Hammock: Ultimate Camping and Travel Companion with Travel Bag by James Cypert

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works fine but it's so tight!

I bought this for a hike we did in Georgia 4 years ago. It worked well on the trip and has held up well since then, but unfortunately it's very small. I bought this before I started reading Derek Hansen's blog, so I didn't realize the importance of width. I'm a tall male at 6ft 4", but my shorter wife and brothers tried it and agreed it was too tight. For the best, most horizontal sleeping position, you should lie at an angle, not in the curve of a hammock. Lying in a curve can become uncomfortable over time, especially if you want to transition to full sleep in a hammock, which I've been considering for a while. Width is incredibly important in a hammock, so next time I buy a cotton hammock I will definitely go for a double. One star deducted because it is very narrow for a single (40 inch). The ENO single hammock is 55 inches wide for reference.
