I have a new car, but unfortunately it doesn't have Carplay. This can be used with an iPad using a mobile phone as a hotspot. At the very least, it effectively becomes Carplay for Revain Music. However, there is an update lag for Google Maps if you rely on it for turns; To do this, just use the iPhone directly. I like this holder because it's simple.
