I love these shoes. I'm a professional sports photographer and recently completed a lighting assignment for the Louis Vuitton America's Cup World Series in Chicago. I'm an old seaman and have had topsiders for years but haven't had a pair in a while so bought them to wear on boats for photography and as everyday town footwear. prettier than my old oxblood Topsider moccasins. Numerous earth tones pair well with my khaki and brown shorts. For the first few days of wearing them, I had abrasions on my feet (I like to wear them barefoot, but add socks for the break-in period) and blisters that required callus pads and band-aids. After a while, however, they fitted well and blisters and abrasions were a thing of the past. Break-in shoes are comfortable enough to wear all day. In fact, I have to remind myself that they are for a specific purpose and I probably shouldn't wear them everywhere or they'll wear out before my next swim. Update 8/2/16: After less than two months of casual (not everyday) wear, these shoes started falling apart. Check out photos from just one of the places that are falling apart. I ABSOLUTELY agree that Sperry shoes should last more than 2 months. I had to glue them back together - unacceptable.
