I bought this for my girlfriend's 8 year old boy and it is not suitable for memory beds without box springs and not for bed frames with headboards. Most importantly, if you only have a memory foam mattress and not a box spring, every time you lift the edge of the mattress to make a bed, it will rip out from under the mattress where you just put it have raised high because it is elastic at the edges and there. nothing holds her back. Then when you have a headboard/footboard there is nothing for it to hold on to so it doesn't move when you try to adjust it around the bed. Also, there are no cutouts for the footrest, so it gets stuck in 2 corners and looks messy. Same goes for the headboard and the 2 elastic straps can't wrap around anything to keep it in place. You can try putting it on the head and foot to keep it in place but then it looks really silly as it covers the legs of the head/foot. It can be pulled on and off, but at least it stays in place when you're trying to make the bed, unless you accidentally tuck it under the mattress, which happens a lot, but it's easy to straighten and you don't have to struggle with it in hand as nicely as this thing.
