When I took it out of the box, I was surprised at how heavy it was. It has a wide elastic band with rows of square gel packs lining the inside of the cap like a waffle pattern. The cap is a little tighter than I expected. So if you have very long and thick hair, this cap may not be comfortable for you. When I first used it, I shampooed and conditioned my hair as usual. According to the instructions, the lid should be placed in the microwave for one minute. It wasn't very warm so I put the gel cap in an old t-shirt and warmed it up for another 20 seconds, it was much better. I put a clear plastic cap under the heated gel cap to keep my conditioner in the gel cap from getting dirty. After about 1 hour I washed out my conditioner. The heating cap stayed warm the whole time. My hair was very soft and my curls were more defined. What I liked best was that it was warm, cozy and mobile. It was much better than wearing a plain clear plastic cap on your head, it got cold after a while. Mobility - you have the opportunity to move and not get stuck under the hair dryer. Thermal protection - The gel heating cap is fixed. heat for a long time. Very warm, cozy and comfortable. This allows the conditioner to penetrate the hair shaft, which promotes deep conditioning. In general, buying the product makes sense. It gets the job done and is very easy to use.
