Very easy to install and set up. The lights are about 6 inches long but very bright. They have 3 lighting modes. Rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. They have a 3m sticky pad that is magnetically attracted to the light assistant so it is very easy to remove for charging. I bought this to install in a closet converted into a pantry for my wife. I used Lowes wire frames which worked great. The sticky pad didn't want to stick to the wire stand so I just pulled a small piece of plastic string to attach it at the top and a sticky pad at the bottom, which worked great. When the room is well lit, motion detection doesn't work well, but it does when it's dim light they work great. You can always turn them on manually if it's too bright, but you still need them.
