Review on 🌬️ Ukoke USPC01W Smart WiFi Portable Air Conditioner: Alexa & Mobile App Control, 12000BTU, 4-in-1 AC Unit (Cool, Heat, Dehumidifier & Fan), 400 Sq. ft Coverage, White by Amy Mears

I am very happy with this purchase, I bought this unit to replace my LG portable AC unit in the master bedroom of a finished home. I love the 4 in 1 feature, although I only use heat and cold at all times. I was skeptical at first based on some of the reviews, but decided to give it a try. For those who are skeptical about a not too well-known brand, I have good news, the remote control is identical to the one on my previous LG device (just more buttons), even worked with it, and the quality of materials is the same or better as LG materials, it wouldn't surprise me that the same company that makes parts for Ukoke makes parts for big brands like LG. The window fittings were also identical, meaning that no new fittings had to be used. Some people have complained about noise, but this unit is a little quieter than my old LG unit (LP0815WNR, that's the model for comparison). As for the Wi-Fi setup, I think this can be a big problem for people who aren't tech savvy. I'm not sure but I think the WiFi receiver in this device is 2.4GHz. I'm saying I'm not sure because I have a dual router and have tried setting it up with a phone connected to 5GHz networks about 5 times. . I remembered that I used to have problems with other devices connected to Wi-Fi that were not compatible with the 5 GHz frequency. I decided to switch my phone to the 2.4GHz network and voila! It worked on the first try. Again, I'm not sure and won't check if it's 2.4 or 5 as it works great now and that's important to me. I know for a fact that 2.4GHz is cheaper than 5GHz, so it makes sense that Ukoke would use 2.4GHz. Some reviews raise concerns about the warranty, but the warranty seems decent compared to other brands. I bought an additional 4 year Square Trade Warranty for $90. , so that got me $470 for a device with a 5 year warranty (1 manufacturer 4 additional 3rd parties). I hope I don't have to use the manufacturer's warranty as most companies try to save a penny by not honoring them, but I know Square Trade is great so I'd rather rely on them.
