These mattresses have a fire retardant fiberglass layer. Fiberglass fibers seep through the mattress fabric cover. I see her sticking out of the fabric and I see her on the floor under the bed. I have NEVER removed the fabric cover. NEVER open the lid or your room will be exposed to fiberglass. BUT you don't even have to unpack the damn thing. The fiberglass seeps through the fabric when in use. The only solution I see is to put a plastic mattress cover that wraps the entire mattress inside the plastic cover so the fibers don't seep all over the place. Fiberglass seeps through the fabric cover EVERYWHERE. DO NOT BUY. Take a flashlight and shine it under the bed, move it around and you will see the reflection of the fiber optics shimmering in the light. You'll see fiberglass fibers sticking out of the mattress cover and all over the bed frame and floor! I would take a photo, but it's very difficult to capture the fibers in the photo (I've tried).
