I've never had Twylas, but I needed brown shoes for a solo performance, so I was able to order them instead of investing in expensive jazz shoes. I've always seen other classmates use them in the studio, but I've never tried them myself. So, as far as comparing it to normal jazz shoes, I won't talk about it until I can try them. Seems to be great quality overall. Good durable canvas with suede bottom. My shoes are size 8 and I ordered medium. They are pretty tight and a little tight but I'm sure they will stretch. So it seems like it would be perfect if they do. I don't want them to fall off my feet!
