Review on 13W 5.2V 2.5A Power Supply Adapter for Microsoft Surface 3 Tablet - Kabcon Charger with 6.5Ft Power Cord and Storage Pouch Bag by Doug Cardello

Lots of good things to talk about. Delivered quickly, packaged well, works great. The unit comes with a very nice zipped case, although the socket pins fold neatly and you don't really need it. My Surface seems to charge just as fast as the original device. I like the LED on the plug but I imagine it would be annoying for people trying to sleep next to it. It might be worth having an LED if it would let you know the charge status, but it seems to stay on all the time while the charger is plugged into an outlet and surface. The only reason I bought this instead of a basic rectangular micro-USB charging cable was because I wanted the connector to fit snugly against the edge of the Surface for support. Unfortunately, this block leaves a significant gap (large enough to see through) and you can still wiggle the connector vigorously. Since wobble = wear and tear and I don't want to replace the micro-USB connector on my Surface in the future, I'm only giving this charger four stars. But overall it's a great device, even if it's a bit pricey. Update: The charger stopped working after a few weeks. The LED is blinking instead of solid and Surface isn't charging. I tried the standard micro USB charger with the Surface and it charged just fine. I am returning for a replacement.
