In order to conserve closet space, I wanted some hangers that didn't require me to fold my pants, jeans in particular. These hangers fit the bill, plus the hangers themselves are very thin. Switching to them has freed up room in my closet. The wooden clamp style hangers are nice, but they are thick and take up a lot of closet space. Even though these hangers are thin, I don't see any problem with the strength.I wouldn't think these hangers are the best choice for shirts, blouses, or sweaters made from materials that stretch, because of the fact that they are so thin. As the old saying goes, you have to use the right tool for the job.The price for these hangers is fairly reasonable.
