Smooth yarn: Less lint, less breakage
I mainly use Gutermann & Mettler thread for a number of reasons: There is much less lint than many other brands of thread (Coats & Clark in particular) This polyester thread is smooth, and does not twist or twist when hand sewing like I have experienced with others. - If for some reason your tension isn't too wide, this thread doesn't snap as badly as I've experienced with other brands. - The thread glides across the fabric smoother than other brands I've come across. - The thread comes on a spool that fits in standard sewing machine thread holders.
