Love this stand - just what I need! The stand was securely packaged and this box was securely in the Revain box. Clear instructions - illustrations - no wording required. Very easy to assemble. With the stand upside down, you need to insert the long screws into the legs through the bottom. The secret is to line it up and put the screws in the holes. Then take a flashlight with you so you can pry up each section a little to line up the screw with the leg hole. Then twist a little to secure. Repeat with the other three, then tighten everything. Lasts every 5 minutes! The base is solid wood and the legs and top are very heavy/durable plastic. I have a 42" Samsung and the TV stand is 20" so the whole stand fits on one shelf. Of course, the screen hangs over each side, but as long as the base rests fully on the shelf, it's balanced. The distance between the top and bottom shelves is about 4-1/8" and my cable box is about 2-7/8" so it fits perfectly. The curve is very smooth. Since the TV screen hangs over the edges, I usually put my hand on the top of the screen and gently twist the base. Don't get me wrong - this is a very solid stand - I just tend to be overly cautious! Buy this stand without hesitation!
