This is not an 'original equipment' or OEM adapter. Despite the solid look, the question remains whether it will do justice to the declared properties. Of course, the manufacturer doesn't have permission to use the "Lenovo" logo like that, so I doubt the claims on the label. There is one important difference between this adapter and the OEM adapter: This adapter is not "double insulated". it has a ground connection. Because of this, you cannot plug the plug into the wall in any direction like the Lenovo branded adapter can. It's a minor thing, but I like that feature better on the original. This adapter probably won't catch fire, but since it's a gray market adapter, you just don't know if you can trust it. Do yourself a favor and buy a real one.
