I'm also leaving my original April 2017 review for reference Improvements: - Added twister for loose tea - Taller glass - Switched plastic in the lid to stainless steel (it's still plastic but it doesn't come into contact with the liquid) Most concerned I was concerned about the lid that I had issues with my original purchase in April 2017 which prompted me to return the item. The moment I opened the jar I smelled a strong chemical smell, according to the instructions I washed the jar and the strainer/teapot. I'm pretty sure the smell comes from the manufacturing process and materials just giving off a by-product. One of the most important changes to the jar was the lid: the inside of the lid, which comes into contact with the liquid, was changed from plastic to stainless steel. The inside of the lid is still made of plastic, but it does not come into contact with the liquid and only serves as a threaded part for screwing it to the glass. As far as I've noticed, the lid sits flush with the jar and isn't leaking yet. I didn't notice any liquid seeping into the lid and getting trapped, which is another big improvement. They also made the glass larger which I haven't decided yet if I prefer it to the original I bought or not. Overall, I'm happy with the improvements they've made to improve the product. I will update this review if anything changes. I am in no way affiliated with LeafLife. I had to return my jar due to several issues and both came with a lid.1. The cap does not sit flush with the rest of the bottle2. The lid has a hole somewhere inside that allows liquid to get in and stay there with no possibility of emptying or cleaning.3. When the lid is closed, there is a small leak. If you do decide to buy one, be sure to check out the issues I've had with mine.
