Review on πŸ–₯️ HUANUO Monitor Wall Mount: Full Motion Gas Spring Arm Stand for 24-35 Inch Screens - Adjustable VESA Bracket, Max Load 26.4lbs by Edgardo Ennis

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Quality product, questionable screws, monitor could not be positioned in the desired position.

The product itself is of high quality and finish, although I had a lot of fun figuring out the range of motion before installing it. In my book, this turned out to be a negative as I needed the weight of my monitor to lower my arm to the point where I could access the height control hex. This is a star. The second problem concerns the screws that attach the base to the rack. I should have guessed this beforehand, but after placing them on the door jamb, halfway through drilling, I discovered that if I had drilled all the way through the screws, they would have come out through the jamb and out the other side. Given the girth of the screws, I had to look for a few screws that were three-quarters the length and the same girth so the threads could still bite through. And what are these screws made of? Not only were they too long, my drill bit cut the heads pretty well. Luckily it wasn't too bad but I had to get the Philips and screw it back on, that's when I made a discovery about the length. I can leave some of the length, but removing the heads was an uncomfortable experience. Overall, I deducted half a star for this, but the real kicker came when I installed the monitor. I don't know if there are standards for mounting, but the bottom screws were long enough that even the spacers remained between the monitor and the screw head. It's good that I'm sensitive, otherwise I could screw myself into my equipment very well. That's where the other half comes from. Now everything is fine and installed yes? Nearly. When I got my monitor in the right position, it turned out that the length of the arms wasn't long enough to keep the monitor in the place it was supposed to be. My space is very limited and between the wall on my right and my full tower desktop on my desk on my left (yes, I'm a gamer) I have about 35" of space to fit a 28.30" wide WQHD to mount the monitor. (32 inches wide). Without going into details, it does not correspond to what I want. I'll play with it one more day but ultimately I think I'll get it back before the end of the week.

Pros
  • Ergonomic stand. Elevate the monitor to an ergonomic height to relieve neck and shoulder strain and improve your work efficiency.
Cons
  • Something different
