It's soft but small and see-through.
I can start by saying this is an amazingly soft color and the brown color I chose was the color I expected. There are two things that bother me that the photos and description don't do justice. First, it's not a background. It is too small to fit a child's entire body in the frame. Second, there are huge gaps between all rivers. The only option I use for a newborn session is in a basket with a fabric of the same color draped behind or over the baby. I probably wouldn't buy any other.
