Great boots for cold weather

These boots are awesome. If you live in a cold area where it also snows (cold and wet) these are the perfect boots for a child. We live in the Midwest so they can be worn every day from late October to mid-April so these boots are worth every dollar. I bought a pair last year for my 2.5 year old son who loved them so much he refused to wear any shoe other than these in the 70 degree weather even when we went to LA for the holidays. These boots are incredibly easy to put on, with handles on the sides. This gives a young child who is just learning to be independent a sense of pride that they can put their shoes on and off by themselves. They are also very warm, have a good grip (for playing in the snow) and stay dry. These sturdy boots were designed to be worn outdoors but are super cute and go with everything. Size wise my 3.5 year old is currently wearing a size 9 Carter but I ordered a size 10 which fits really well but gives little room for an extra pair of socks if needed and some growth over the next 6 months. One thing I found very helpful is going to the Bogs website which has a PDF that you can download and print out to help you with sizing. When printed correctly, the outline will fit perfectly on a credit card, which is why you know the size chart is to be trusted. I was originally going to order a size 9 but switched to a 10 after using this size chart to measure my child's foot. So buy them, they are great! Enough for a long winter season for a restless child with HEAVY daily use. For the most accurate size, see the size chart on the Bogs website.
