Works very well for the first day. I was seconds from returning it because I opened the battery pack and acid spurted out. Luckily they didn't explode everywhere. I used my own batteries and tried anyway. It doesn't replace a large paper shredder, but it's good for receipts that pile up on my desk and small pieces of paper. It is also not heavy and uncomfortable in the hand. It's easy to hold in one hand and shred my papers. Those are all good things. The bad thing is that the paper almost doesn't tear after a day. With only one receipt at a time, the paper was still pieced together. Another problem is that anyone can collect the paper after shredding. It's not powdery enough for me. Finally sent it back.
