I only gave this product one star because I know people tend to read it first. I have a wound on the back of my head that needs to be cleaned, wrapped in gauze and bandaged every night. The doctor gave us two identical swabs that ended after two nights. We got them and my wife has been using them every night since. They are excellent for this purpose, just like the ones we got from the doctor. I think some people who don't like these tampons are using them for more strenuous purposes which is why they broke. Also, due to the way we use them, regular cotton swabs have too big a head and the buds aren't long enough to be used as a lever. I found this product to be for wounds so I ordered it. It worked for us as advertised and I would recommend it to anyone using it the way we use it - for wounds.
