Possible but not recommended
One or two fish is enough. I think the water flow is too strong and the light is too bright, but it is enough for a temporary aquarium. So I didn't use both the filter and the light, just used it as a simple reservoir. The tank is cheap and the lip is thin. I'll keep it as I only have one fish so I don't need to buy a fancy one. It's ok but I don't recommend it.
