I can't comment on the longevity of the product but I can say it has worked flawlessly for the past few days since installing it. The app for your phone is hit or miss, which means it works when it wants it to. I'm glad it came with a remote control because it works so much better. As for the installation, there were no problems with the installation. The hardest part was removing the wheel arches, drilling the necessary holes and bolting the LEDs to the fender. Be sure to order four extra harnesses if you don't drive a Mini Cooper or Smart, as the wires for the rear wheels aren't long enough. Wiring was easy and I'm by no means an electrician. Also, don't forget to order an extra positive wire clamp to connect to the battery if you go this route. Overall I would say this is a great bright product and will update this review after further testing.
