Reliable product BUT the battery life ruins it - not worth buying even for iPhone owners

TLDR - This is a reliable product but due to a terrible battery drain issue they are not good (probably last 5-8 p.m.). actual listening time. And without a mobile app or website to match iPhone owners, this is definitely not a buy unless you want to hack. The essence of these products is simplicity and convenience and battery consumption, even if I had an Android phone I would probably stay away from them.____________ Background: I am an iPhone user who has been using first generation Airpods for three years. After researching the options available, I bought the Airpods Pro first, but they didn't stay in my ear and were less comfortable than the open-fit design, so I sent them back. I chose the Freebuds 3 because they felt like the perfect middle ground between Airpod Plus and regular, with an open design for comfort and active noise cancellation. Pros: Design: The open fit design is very comfortable and the noise canceling helps reduce the background noise that usually comes from this design, making it better than Airpods - noise canceling actually works! (Although the second time a fan blows on you or there is some actual movement causing the wind to hit you, it seems to lose its effect and resume after 30 seconds.) - The app works well ( I have an Android tablet, so I can download new firmware updates and change noise-cancellation settings.) - Sound: I'm not an audiophile, but they sound just as good as AirPods, if not better. unused, headphones and case are 100% charged. I'm sure if you use them directly you can get 20 hours of listening time on the occasional headphone charge, but you're likely getting less than half the battery life with a significant battery drain on standby. (After several firmware updates there is still no solution, so it may be a product inherent issue) - No iOS support and I can't even go to a website that has the same functionality as the app, which means that For the average iPhone owner this is definitely not a good fit and just get Airpods, although it could be a better product and a great middle ground.
