The device discharges when connected to the network.
I put some stars because they charge your device but it's so slow I still lose charge if I use the device while it's plugged in. For example: I connected my iPad to 16% and it died for me. I definitely wouldn't recommend or trust the reviews as it seems like a lot of them don't talk about cables at all.
