Size is an issue when walking

I ordered the ninth size. I received a size 8.5 and my first reaction was that I had to send it back because the size was wrong. However, I tried them on and they were ok. I don't know if the seller made sure the shoes were too big or if I was just lucky, but in the end the smaller size fit perfectly.
