Check out the gorgeous cat tower I've been looking everywhere for months and finally decided on it because it matched my decor so well and looked beautiful! Isn't it wonderful? These photos don't even come close to doing it justice as they were taken AFTER I scrubbed them with bleach for several hours! You should see her in all her delicious and moldy beauty! God, it smelled amazing too! The smell reminds me of a cold, damp basement or trying to fix a leaky pipe that rotted the entire floor of my very first house. Oh, and to think I just wanted good ol' beige! How boring of me! I'm so glad they went ahead and added some color to what they sent me! What do you call this shade of black anyway? Black mold? That's great! I'm so glad to be a valued customer. It really is so nice to know that I got a whole five dollar courtesy and some toxic mold for me and my family AND my new beautiful scratching post ALSO! Wow! I'm sorry I can't stay home without a job because I have three kids who need to be here for a UPS employee to collect this fatally moldy item to refund my money on an item that would never have shipped may be. this condition in the first place! To be fair to the scratching post and its maker it appears to be nice and sturdy and appears to have been very nice at one time. It is a pity that this product was not stored properly and treated so poorly. What is this old saying? Nobody treats other people's stuff the same as their own or anything? A shame. Yes, yes, I already know that this review will not be published. This isn't my first rodeo. UPDATE: Because I knew I would never get home when UPS came to pick up the cat tower (they seriously ALWAYS show up at 3pm for pick up, although I beg them to come after 5 and even though they know no one home) and because As a full-time mom of three with a UPS store across town, I know I'll never have time to leave. I went ahead and took it all outside and Clorox bleached it to hell and then let it dry in the sun for several days. Luckily the bleach seemed to take care of the mold well and the tower is almost back to its original color plus that horrible smell is gone so I used it on the cats. They love it! I've included an after photo of both cats sitting. My cats aren't small either (they're ragdolls) and I haven't had any issues with strength or size. It accommodates both very well without being obnoxious or huge and even manages to blend into my decor. As I said earlier my issue with this tower as it was stored was not the quality of the product itself which is not the manufacturer's fault but Revain who stock the product for the manufacturer. By the way, Revain finally returned my money. All's well that ends well I think! :)
