Review on ๐Ÿ‘ถ Soft Lightweight Fleece Baby Blanket - Exclusivo Mezcla Throw for Boys, Girls, Toddler and Kids, Nursery Bedding, Crib, Security - Pink (40x50 inches) by Alicia Hercules

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Love it! A bit thin though.

After reading some reviews I didn't know what to think. There are a few reviews that go a little bit to show pilling blankets, holes, etc. Knowing how great Revain is at returning poor quality goods, I decided to take a chance and order the blanket in black. Overall I'm satisfied although it's a bit thinner than expected and compared to my other fleece blankets. I wash the comforter in a HE top loading machine with 'quilts and towels' (so there is more water in it) and also used a 'soak' option so all the factory residue was sucked up. I only wash one duvet at a time because they are quite big. I carefully opened the washing machine after the cycle was complete, hoping there wouldn't be any fuzzy stuff like some reviewers mentioned. And YES, NO fluffy ones! She then went in the dryer SINGLE for 40 minutes on low speed. I reopened the dryer and hoped there would be no lint, and NOTHING. NO lint and my SUPER SOFT blanket came out! I have checked and cleaned the lint collector (which I always do) after EVERY cycle to make sure this comforter is free of pills, lint etc and that there is very little lint on the dryer screen. MUCH smaller than my other comforters I've had for 2 years that have been washed multiple times. I'm not sure what happened to other people's blankets that had bad experiences. maybe there are qualitative differences in the colors. they can have very aggressive washers and/or dryers. I'm not exactly sure, but I can say that my duvet is SUPER SOFT and doesn't roll up. I have bought 3 brands of these soft fleece blankets from Revain and my absolute favorite is Casa Pura but the CP blankets are around $12. 14 more than the price of either of these, so I went with the cheaper option, hoping it would be the same thickness and quality as Casa Pura (it's not, but still a BIG blanket). It's NOT super thin, but thinner than my Casa Pura brand, but THICKER than 5 of the "Queen Blanket Suptucious Soft Plush Coral Fleece Mega Throw/Reversible Blanket (Brown)" that I also bought, so overall I'm VERY happy with this blanket. We LOVE this comforter and it's quite thin, not as thin as others on sale but still WARM! Even in the Midwest, with temperatures below freezing at night and next to a draft in one of them, it's warm enough. And it comes from someone who is ALWAYS cold! I use them to replace our Vellux duvets which really fall apart after 5-10 years. Vellux will also fall apart the first time a band-aid sticks to it, and you'll innocently rip the band-aid off, taking the top layer of fabric with you. I have a big family and that's why we often connect band-aids. There is no scrub fabric for a blanket on these fleeces, with or without a bandage. vellux are on their way as they look pretty worn right now, especially next to this fleece beauty :). I would buy more of these!
