This sponge is just a sponge. I work well to remove masks and other products from skin without pulling or scratching. I liked the texture better than the so-called naturally pressed sponges I bought from Revain. Very gentle gliding on the skin. There is a slight smell of sponge otherwise I would recommend them. Outstanding value for money in professional use.
