I am a Licensed Esthetician and Massage Therapist. I wanted to give some of my massage clients something extra, so I included a back scrub after their 60-minute massage. I first bought a Himalayan salt scrub (unscented), a brown sugar scrub (smells exactly like brown sugar), a sweet orange scrub (yummy, maybe my favorite - smells like pure sweet orange essential oil), a coconut milk body scrub (smells like coconut of course) and blueberry scrub (also a popular contender - smells like blueberry muffin) and I fell in love instantly! I tested one on one of my co-workers and she absolutely loved it! She then tried one on me so I knew how my clients would feel (it was heaven). My colleague wants to use it for his clients. I recently bought more scrubs because I'm a bit obsessed (haven't used them on clients yet): British Rose Body Scrub (lovely rose scent; this one has the thinnest of them all, which tells me it won't be that harsh like the others), African black soap (unscented), tea tree oil body and foot scrub (definitely smells like tea tree!), and finally watermelon body. Scrub (probably my favorite scrub; it smells fake but tropical) I wouldn't recommend using it on your face right now, it's too harsh, like a salt sugar scrub. I really love them for the body. I love how gritty they are because you only need a small amount. I like to carry them dry on my clients' backs to add intensity, which you can do in the shower if you're buying them for home use. If - the client has more sensitive skin, I apply it to damp skin. I then use 2-3 hot towels to remove the scrub and then wet her skin! So far, all of my clients that I've used them on have thoroughly enjoyed them, and some want to buy them themselves! Sad note: all of them (at least the ones I've bought so far) contain almond oil, so unfortunately I can't use them for those with nut allergies. So I hope Brooklyn Botany comes up with some nut-free scrubs in the future! Moisturizing 4/5: They haven't left any of my clients dry, but you'll still want to moisturize after use. Scent 4/5: Smell hard to rate as smell is subjective but I just didn't like the artificial smelling watermelon scrub, some might like it. Everyone else is amazing but 10/10! Value 5/5: They seem expensive to scrub at first, but I need a small amount compared to other scrubs I've used. I use about half a teaspoon on my back, which is more than enough. I can say with confidence that they will serve me for a very long time. All in all, I can wholeheartedly recommend these scrubs!
