When my own children were little I only looked for quality blankets, especially cotton jersey blankets which were among my favorites! Thirty years have passed. and the next generation of our family is coming. Times may have changed, but there is a saying that nothing is really new. This is a perfect example of that. This fluffy blanket appears to be hand quilted. My grandmother and all grandmothers of generations past created these beloved blankets. I'm a bit confused about the fabric of the cover. It has very cute dinosaurs with blue chambray border. The softness of this brand new blanket is reminiscent of denims that have been washed for decades, leaving them luxuriously soft against the skin. The print has kind of softened and it seems this is already a family heirloom! Layers of muslin create a quilted piece with no padding (I can determine that). Muslin is known to soften and age well, but this blanket seems to have hit home. I am so happy with this baby blanket and can't wait to see my grandson wrapped up in this adorable blanket.
