I usually buy Weston brands and am very happy with them. I saw them cheaper for $4 and decided to give it a try. They seem to be thinner and I really wish they were in a box rather than a plastic bag, but so far they're working well. I recently adopted two abandoned kittens who are on a restricted diet of only diced chicken and a certain type of pellet. So I buy chicken breasts in bulk when I find them on sale. These pouches contain a chicken breast that is frozen until I need to cook it. Then I defrost the breast and put it in sous vide at 156° for 2 hours. So far they are holding up very well! Not a single seam unraveled and the bags didn't burst when moved around in the freezer. And they are cheaper! SUPPLEMENT: I've found that some bags are curled up at the bottom and at the end and won't suck up if I can't curl up the end. It turns out this is a chore that costs no less than $4 per hundred. After that I will return to Weston Bags.
